Three charged over death of baby girl

THREE people have been charged following the death of a 19-month-old baby girl.

Officers were contacted at shortly after 9.30am on Thursday March 23rd last year by paramedics who were treating the girl at an address on Ward Street in Lostock Hall.

She sadly died a short time later at Royal Preston Hospital.

Following a police investigation and after consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service Lauren Coyle, 19, of Collins Road, Bamber Bridge; Reece Hitchcott, 19, of The Fieldings, Fulwood and Connor Kirby, 20, of  Octavia Court, Huyton, Liverpool  have all been charged jointly with Manslaughter, Section 5 Domestic Violence Act (cause and allow the death of a child) and two counts of neglect.

All are bailed to appear at Preston Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 22nd February.
