[A] woman who was living in Tebay has appeared at North and West Cumbria Magistrates Court today [Tues] and pleaded guilty to committing two counts of fraud by making a false representation.
Madonna Marie Howard, 32, who is now living at Wood Street, Carlisle used the personal details of another person to create online credit accounts with a number of retailers including, Next, La Redoute, Shop Direct (VERY) and obtain goods and accessories by credit and incurred debts in another persons name.
These offences took place between August 1 and September 19, 2017 at Tebay.
A third fraud charge is that on Wednesday August 23, Howard applied for a Pay Day Loan and attempted to complete an unsuccessful online application to obtain £3,750 from Amigo Loans using another persons details, she pleaded guilty.
The court heard that the three-offences took place while she was living in Tebay, she is paying money back to the companies involved in the fraud.
The court was told that Ms Howard thought she was owed around £5,000 from a business person after a disagreement, this was in her-eyes to make up for it.
Magistrates imposed a Community Order with one-requirement, an electronically tagged house curfew for eight-weeks between 7pm and 7am, she has to pay court costs of £170.
