[P]olice are investigating a robbery from a convenience store in Whitehaven.
The robbery occurred at approximately 8.30pm on Monday 19th March.
A male offender has entered the Nisa store on Whinlatter Road and demanded money from the till whilst brandishing a knife. The male made off with £150.
There were no injuries.
Police are also investigating an attempted theft in Whitehaven which occurred at approximately 8.55pm on Monday 19th March outside Opera Bingo on Tangier Street.
A male offender has attempted to steal a bag off a woman in her late 40s. He has been unsuccessful and made off.
A spokesman for Cumbria Police said: “Three local men have been arrested in connection with these offences.
“They have been detained for questioning.”
