Penrith man arrested after crashing van

Police are appealing for witnesses to a one vehicle road traffic collision in Penrith.

At approximately 11pm on Thursday 22nd March a white Ford Transit has collided with a lamp post on Haweswater Road causing extensive front-end damage to the vehicle and lamp post.

A 26-year-old man from Penrith was arrested on suspicion of drive motor vehicle when alcohol above limit. He has been released under investigation.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision to get in touch to assist with their enquiries.
