Hunter Hall Year 6 meet TeamGB

Hunter Hall Pupils visit the Velodrome

[A] special trip was organised for the Year 6 class at Hunter Hall School in Penrith last week, as they travelled down to Manchester to experience a velodrome track riding session and a tour of Great Britain’s national cycling centre.

The children undertook a coaching session on the track, before having a tour around the centre and the training facilities

Following the lesson, a Team GB training session commenced, but they had to wait for Hunter Hall pupils to finish their session.  Two weeks earlier, many of these riders were taking gold and silver medals at the world championships in the Netherlands – now they were watching Hunter Hall spinning around their track!
