Three dogs killed in suspected poisoning

The owner of three dogs in Carlisle has been left devastated after their beloved pets suddenly became ill and later died.

The dogs were rushed to a vets where they were given emergency treatment but despite the best efforts of the veterinary staff all three dogs sadly died.

The dogs owner suspects they were poisoned.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “Police are aware of the death of three dogs in the Buchanan Road area and are investigating the circumstances.

“Officers were first made aware of the deaths on March 25th.”
