Driver charged after A66 crash

[P]olice have charged a driver involved in a collision on the A66 at Kirkby Thore which occurred on the morning of 29 March 2018.

The collision occurred at around 9.30am and involved two HGVs.

Both drivers were taken to hospital following the collision but have since been released.

Arlandas Lubys, 40, of no fixed address, was arrested yesterday (1 April) and has been charged with driving without due care and attention and refusing to provide an evidential blood sample in respect of drink driving.

Lubys is due to appear at Carlisle Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (3 April).
