[A] YOUNG man accused of attacking his mother has appeared in front of a judge at Carlisle Crown Court.
Dylan Messenger-Taylor, 20, faced one charge during a short hearing earlier today (TUES).
He pleaded not guilty to allegedly unlawfully and maliciously causing his 52-year-old mother, Heather Messenger-Taylor, grievous bodily harm with intent. This charge is said to arise out of an incident at Gosforth on March 2.
Prosecutor Gerard Rogerson told the court Ms Messenger-Taylor “remains in hospital as a result of the injuries she sustained”.
Judge Forrester adjourned the case until Monday of next week in order for more information in the case to be obtained.
Messenger-Taylor, whose address was said to be “not known”, will return to the crown court on that day.
In the meantime he was remanded in custody by the judge.
