National Pet Month – a time to celebrate!

Striking their poses – Poppy the Cocker Spaniel and Alfie the Border Collie

April is National Pet Month, a time to celebrate all things animal, and Oak Tree Animals’ Charity is giving pet lovers a chance to win an original painting of their very own pet!

To celebrate the joys of responsible pet ownership, Oak Tree is launching a photo’ competition for all pet lovers to be able to share pictures of their pet’s natural beauty and have the chance to win some great prizes. All entrants have to do is take a snap of their pet or pets together and email them to Oak Tree Animals’ Charity at [email protected], where they will be displayed on the Charity’s website and Facebook page.

The top prize is a fantastic original painting of their very own pet by local Cumbrian artist Karen McSkimming. Karen produces beautiful and eye catching pictures, but a particular favourite of hers is pet portraits. Each runner up will receive a £10 voucher kindly donated by Carlisle Pets At Home.

For further information about how to take part in the National Pet Month photo competition or learn more about Oak Tree Animals’ Charity please visit www.oaktreeanimals.org.uk or the Charity’s Facebook page.
