Woman’s body found on Lake District fell

[P]olice were called to reports of the body of a woman being found on Rossett Pike, Great Langdale, yesterday morning at around 9.30am.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The body has been identified as a 25-year-old woman, who is not local to Cumbria.

“There is not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death, and the Coroner has been informed.”

A spokesman for Langdale and Ambleside MRT said: “A body was located by a passing walker.

“The team mobilised along with Great North Air Ambulance Service.

“Once on scene it was confirmed that the casualty was deceased, her body was flown to the valley floor for onward transport to Ambleside.”
