Designer preloved clothes on sale for a snip

Tickets are on sale now for the Preloved Quality Clothes Sale in Penrith on Saturday 21 April.

Preloved clothes by brands ranging from Fat Face to Karen Millen will be up for grabs this month at a fundraising sale by Cumbria Action for Sustainability (CAfS).

The event, at the Eden Arts Old Fire Station in Penrith on Saturday 21 April, will feature quality fashions for women and children including casual wear, smart casuals, sports, outdoors, bridal and vintage clothes.

“We’ve been amazed by the great range of top brands that local women have come forward with to sell,” said Frankie O’Keeffe from CAfS, who is organising the sale – a first for the charity.

“There are popular casual brands like White Stuff, Boden, Gudrun Sjoden, Landsend and Mantaray. For smart casuals and office wear we’ll have Monsoon, French Connection, Ted Baker, Jigsaw and Jaeger to name a few. Anyone who’s into vintage clothes will love our pieces by Lindy Bop among others.”

There are also top designer brands like Versace and Armani on the list, and clothes by the popular high-street stores, from Next and House of Fraser to Topshop.

“We’ve also got a good range of footwear and accessories,” Frankie said, “and for women shopping for sports or outdoor wear, we’ll be selling clothes by brands like Trespass, Mountain Warehouse, Adidas and Nike.”

As well as the chance to pick up bargains, the event promises to be a great night out, with fashion and beauty activities on offer.

All the proceeds from clothes sales will be split evenly between CAfS and the sellers, helping raise funds for the charity and giving unwanted clothes a new lease of life.

The sale runs from 6.30-9.30pm and tickets are now on sale at cafs.org.uk/events, priced at £5 including a glass of prosecco or a soft drink. Book now at www.cafs.org.uk/events/cafs-preloved-quality-clothes-sale and then pay on the door.
