Firefighters tackle Brough house fire

[A]t 4:27pm today, Wednesday 18 April firefighters from Appleby were called to reports of a house fire on Main Street, Brough.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “The team attended the scene and found that the fire was in the airing cupboard of the property.

“The crew used a hose reel jet and two breathing apparatus to tackle the fire; they then ventilated the property.

“The team were you in attendance for approximately 30 minutes.”
