[A]t 12:32am today, Wednesday 18 April firefighters were called to a building fire on the A595 in Baldwinholme, Carlisle.
On arrival crews discovered that the fire involved the thatched roof of a domestic property which was well alight upon arrival.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue spokesman said: “Firefighters used two hose reel jets and a drag rake to extinguish the fire.
“They then used a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots.
“Firefighters were at the scene for around an hour and 15 minutes.”
