[A] cyclist has been seriously injured after being hit by a van near the retail park on London Road in Carlisle.
Police were called at 6:30pm on Tuesday 24 April.
A white Renault Master van, driven by a 25-year-old Carlisle man was in collision with a pedal cycle, ridden by a 22-year-old local man.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The cyclist was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary via ambulance having received head and chest injuries and a broken collar bone.
“His condition is not believed to be either life-threatening or life-changing.
“The van driver was uninjured.”
The road was closed until 9pm while police carried out collision investigation work.
Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to contact PC2265 Stabler at the Mobile Support Group at Durranhill on 101.
