[O]ne of the great forces in 90s pop culture, saxophonist Snake Davis and the Burden of Paradise play Rosehill Theatre on Friday 25 May at 8pm.
Featured on Take That’s A Million Love Songs, M People’s Search for the Hero and hits by Lisa Stansfield, Snake Davis was also part of the most recent Eurythmics world tour.
The Burden of Paradise is Snake’s acoustic (or ‘blindingly quiet’, as they put it, with just sax, vocals, double bass and guitar) band comprising Helen Watson and Dave Bowie Jr.
Snake Davis and the Burden of Paradise are touring in 2018 with a playlist including medieval ballads, 80s torch songs and anthems made famous by artists from Bob Dylan to Doris Day – a performance described as “a stylish blend of precisely 47% blues, 35% folk and 18% jazz”.
A rare opportunity to experience an enchanting evening with a trio of this skill and quality, tickets are £18 available online here https://goo.gl/KefSRG or via the box office on 01922 692422 or [email protected]
