Firefighters tackle Whitehaven bin fires

[A]t 1:48am today Saturday 12 May firefighters from Whitehaven attended reports of multiple bin fires in Scotch Street, Whitehaven.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Spokesman said: “Crews found three bins filled with household waste well alight and used a single hose reel to extinguish each one in turn.

“They were in attendance for around half an hour.”
