MP visits thriving local pharmaceutical research company

Tim Farron MP and Kendal Nutricare’s CEO Ross McMahon

Local MP Tim Farron has praised the recent success of Kendal Nutricare during a visit to the company’s headquarters this week.

Earlier this year, the company secured an £85million export contract extension with a Chinese firm, which is set to bring 25 new jobs to the area.

Tim said: “Here in the South Lakes we have the fastest growing economy in Cumbria, and that’s thanks to thriving local businesses like Kendal Nutricare.

“The business has been transformed over the past three years and is now a world leader in its field, securing investment in our area and skilled jobs for local people.”

Ross McMahon, Kendal Nutricare’s Chief Executive said: “Tim has always been a strong supporter of Kendal Nutricare – the home of family nutrition.

“To give him plenty of energy to keep up his good work, we presented him with our latest Kendalife Superberry and a Kendalife shaker for his family.”
