Man hurt in Carlisle attack

Police are investigating an assault which occurred at the bus stop on West Tower Street, Carlisle outside of the Market Square at approx 1pm on Wednesday 16 May 2018.

It is alleged that a male has approached the male victim who has been sat on a bench, punched him numerous times to the face before pulling him to the ground causing facial injury.

An ambulance was called and attended the scene.
