Man arrested after woman attacked in Bowness

Police are seeking witnesses to a domestic incident which occurred on Thursday 12th April 2018 around 10.15pm and 10.45pm on the Glebe at Bowness between a man and a woman.

A spokesman for Cumbria Police said: “We would like to speak to a female who was seen to pick up the victims handbag and assist the victim who had been assaulted and was on the ground.

“A man has been arrested on suspicion of assault. He has been released under investigation whilst officers continue to make enquires.”
