[A] MAN accused of attacking and falsely imprisoning a woman in Penrith is due to stand trial before a jury later this year.
Perry Lloyd Mason, 31, faced four charges when he appeared at Carlisle Crown Court earlier today (MON).
Mason denied one charge which alleges he unlawfully and maliciously caused Bridie Chapman grievous bodily harm with intent; and another which alleges the false imprisonment of the same female.
In addition, Mason pleaded not guilty to assaulting two police constables with intent to resist.
All charges arise out of alleged incidents which are said to have occurred on April 22 this year.
Mason, of Sandgate, Penrith, was told he would stand trial at the crown court. A hearing, estimated to last three to four days, is due to start on August 6.
In the meantime he was remanded in custody by Judge James Adkin.
