[A] Carlisle man has appeared alongside a youth from custody at Carlisle Magistrates Court today.
Peter Raymond Kenney, 48, gave his address as Eldon Drive, Harraby, is charged with conspiring to supply a class A controlled drug.
The youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons is charged with acquire/use/possess criminal property, and conspiring to supply a class A drug.
They both appeared before District Judge Gerald Chalk.
The judge was told the drug allegations relate to dates between 16 and 22 May, are accused that they conspired together to supply illegal drugs in Carlisle.
The youth was found in the Harraby area by police officers near to Kenney’s address where he had been staying while in the city, he was allegedly found with a substantial amount of cash on his person.
The judge was told that both defendants indicated they would plead not-guilty when they appear at Carlisle Crown Court on June 22.
Kenney was remanded in custody until that date, the youth was sent to a youth detention centre until the crown court hearing.
