[P]olice were called at 3:30am this morning (25th May), to an incident on Greengate Street, Barrow.
Following attending the incident police are investigating a report of a robbery.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The victim, a 54-year-old man from Durham, reported that his wallet had been taken, he suffered facial injuries not believed to be life threatening.
“He was taken to Furness General hospital.
“There was a temporary police cordon on parts of Greengate Street, Rawlinson Street and Sutherland Street whilst investigation took place. The cordon has since been removed.”
