Firefighters tackle Carlisle car fire

[A]t 7:25pm yesterday, Wednesday 30 May firefighters were called to reports of a car on fire at Wetheral Pasture in Carlisle.

On arrival the crew discovered a three-door vehicle well alight.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “A firefighter wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

“The crew were in attendance for around half-an-hour.”
