[A] KENDAL man has become the third person to admit involvement in a plot to supply class A drugs within the town.
Christopher Wales, 36, entered guilty pleas to two offences when he appeared at Carlisle Crown Court today (MON).
Wales admitted conspiracy to supply both heroin and crack cocaine during an eight day period, between January 5 and 12 this year. His pleas were said to have been entered on a written basis – detailing his role in the offending – which was acceptable to the prosecution.
Alongside Wales in the dock was another Kendal man, 53-year-old Alan George Ure, and also Jordan James Borrowman, 26.
Both Ure, of New Shambles, and Borrowman, of Edge Fold, Plodder Lane, Farnworth, Bolton, had previously admitted the same two offences.
These are said by police to involve a conspiracy to supply both illegal substances in Kendal.
Judge Peter Hughes QC asked the probation service to prepare a background report on Wales, of Kettlewell Road, Kendal.
Judge Hughes told Wales and the two other defendants they are due to be sentenced at the crown court on July 30. In the meantime all three men were remanded in custody by the judge.
