[A]s the UK revels in the memories of the Royal wedding, Macdonald Swan Hotel has launched a search for couples who celebrated their wedding at the hotel over the past decades.

The quaint hotel, located Grasmere is inviting its brides and grooms over the decades to take a trip down memory lane, by sharing their Macdonald Memories, to be in with the chance of returning to the exquisite wedding destination for a weekend.

To take part, couples should send photographs of their wedding and the year in which they wed to [email protected] or post on www.facebook.com/MacdonaldHotels by 30 June 2018.

One photograph will be selected at random and the winning couple will be treated like a king and queen with a luxurious dinner, bed and breakfast stay in the wedding suite at the hotel, including a royal welcome of champagne on arrival*.

Built in 1650 as a coaching inn, the charming hotel is one of the Lake District’s most romantic locations. Perfect for intimate receptions for up to 65 guests, Macdonald Swan Hotel boasts traditional oak beams and open fireplaces creating a warm and cosy atmosphere. The hotel’s private garden can also be accessed for a Champagne reception or wedding photography. The stunning manicured grounds enjoys a dramatic backdrop with unobstructed views of The Fells – the Lake District’s most famous mountain range.
