[C]umbria’s Police and Crime Commissioner, Peter McCall, is inviting people to go along and share their views about policing in Cumbria.
Mr McCall will be available on Wednesday 13 June in The Senhouse Centre, Senhouse Street, Whitehaven CA28 7ES between 10am-12noon and on Wednesday 20 June at the Network Centre, Salthouse Road, Millom LA18 5AB between 10am-12 noon.
Meeting the public regularly to listen to their views on policing is a significant responsibility for the Commissioner and Peter McCall is keen to make sure that communities get the opportunity to meet him. It is also one of his key objectives in the county’s Police and Crime Plan.
Peter McCall explains: “I am really keen to speak to as many people as possible across the county, as I have found it a really valuable experience in the past, and helps give me a real feel for what people are experiencing out in our communities. It also helps me get a sense of what people see as the policing priorities in their local areas.
“Holding surgeries such as these is just one of the ways that I engage with members of the public, and I urge people to take the opportunity to come along for a chat. I really want to get out in the community to hear for myself what the issues are and how policing can help.”
Mr McCall will be holding other surgeries across the county over the coming months, dates and venues will be published once confirmed.
No appointment is necessary.
