[P]olice are appealing for witnesses after a Cumbria Police dog handler was assaulted while trying to restrain a member of the public following a public order offence.
The incident occurred at approx 4pm on Wednesday 6 June on Dalzell Street in Bigrigg.
Numerous members of the public have driven past and witnessed the officer trying to subdue the aggressive man.
Police are appealing for information that potential witnesses may have and ask that they call PC2636 Simpson on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 quoting log 173 of 6 June.
