Local cricket club raises £370 in aid of Carlisle hospice

Wetheral Cricket Club

[O]ver the Early May Bank Holiday weekend, Wetheral Cricket Club hosted a family rounders day as they welcomed the whole community to the club.

On the day 13 teams enjoyed at least three games of rounders, as well as a BBQ, refreshments and music. The rounders day raised £370 in aid of Eden Valley Hospice through a raffle held on the day, which included a range of prizes donated by local businesses and people.

Richard Timperon (pictured front centre), Club Captain said, “We will certainly be thinking of holding more events in the future considering it was so well supported”.
