Firefighters tackling Milnthorpe barn blaze

Firefighters are tackling a barn fire in Milnthorpe.

At 9.38am today, Tuesday 12 June firefighters from Kendal and Arnside were called to reports of a building fire in Milnthorpe.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Spokesman said: “The fire involves bales of hay which were well alight in a barn.

“The team are currently using two hose reel jets and two breathing apparatus to tackle the fire.”
