[A] WOMAN has told a jury of three alleged assaults she says were carried out by her former boyfriend.
Nathan Aaron Bell is on trial at Carlisle Crown Court. The 27-year-old denies three alleged assaults on his former girlfriend, Jodie Liddell, and three alleged breaches of a restraining order put in place last June to stop him contacting her.
Today (TUES), Miss Liddell gave evidence about three alleged assaults by Bell.
Of an alleged incident on May 10 last year during a car journey, she said: “He punched me in the face.”
She then described a further two alleged assaults, one on August 12 and then another several weeks later.
Of the first allegation, Miss Liddell told jurors: “He punched me in the face – right in the nose.”
And of a second alleged incident, after which she attended hospital, she said from the witness box: “Nathan attacked me and beat me up.”
Bell, of Lindisfarne Street, Carlisle, denies each of the alleged offences, and the trial continues.
