Horse rescued by firefighters in Witherslack

At 8:46am today, Wednesday 13 June firefighters attended to a horse stuck in a bog on Church Road in Witherslack.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: “Fire crews along with a farmer used agricultural machinery to release the animal.

“Crews were in attendance for one hour.”
