Firefighters tackle Carlisle blaze

[A]t 2:45pm today, Thursday 14 June firefighters attended a fire at a yard on St Nicholas Street, Carlisle.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: “Two pallets of rubber footings used for scaffolding and fencing were well alight.

“Fire crews used two hose reels to extinguish the flames.”
