[P]olice are urging motorists to take care on the county’s roads as heavy winds continue to affect Cumbria.
Police have received reports of over 25 weather-related incidents across the county since 6am this morning (14th June).
Many of these are reports are of trees or branches falling into the road causing initial blockages. There have been no reports of any serious collisions.
Police are working with colleagues at the Highways Agency to clear roads but are urging motorists to drive to the conditions.
Advice is for motorists to slow down, allow extra time for your journey and be vigilant of branches or other objects on the road.
