Police appeal after Carlisle hit-and-run

[P]olice are investigating a fail-to-stop road traffic collision which occurred on Lamb Street, Carlisle, at approximately 3.30pm on 14th June.

It is suspected that a white Renault Master Tipper van had been driving towards Brisco Road when it collided with the rear passenger side of a white coloured Vauxhall Corsa. At the time of the collision the Vauxhall Corsa was parked and unattended.

Police have been informed that a female member of the public witnessed the incident and kindly provided the registration number of the offending vehicle to the owner of the Vauxhall Corsa.

Police are keen to speak to this woman who provided the registration number and to any other people who may have witnessed the minor collision. Police are also keen to obtain any dash cam footage of the collision.

Nobody was injured and minor damage was caused to the Vauxhall Corsa. Instances of people driving away after colliding with other vehicle will be taken seriously and dealt with proactively.
