Police appeal after Carlisle takeaway burglaries

POLICE are investigating a burglary that occurred between 11:30pm on the 20th and early afternoon on the 21st June, at Majaan takeaway, 113 London Road, Carlisle.

The back door of the premises had been forced open using an object, potentially a crow bar and an amount of cash taken.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting log number 129 of the 21st June, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.


A burglary also occurred between the evening of the 21st and midday today (22nd June) at New City Chinese Takeaway, 101 London Road, Carlisle.

The back door of the premises had been forced open using an object, potentially a crow bar. Nothing was taken.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting log number 108 of the 22nd June, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
