Workington man charged with robbery

[P]OLICE have charged a man in connection with robbery in Workington.

The alleged incident occurred at a pharmacy on Westfield Drive on Monday 4th June 2018.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “Carl McGlasson, aged 34, of Victoria Road, Workington, was charged with robbery.

“He was also charged with separate offences of going equipped for theft and possession of a pointed article in relation to an incident on Harrington Road, Workington, on Monday 9th April 2018.

“He appeared at West Cumbria Magistrates’ Court today (22nd June) where he was remanded in custody.

“He is next scheduled to appear before Carlisle Crown Court on 20th July 2018.”
