[C]umbria Police is appealing for witnesses following an incident on Saturday evening (30 June) which left a man with a stab injury.
The incident took place at some time between 6pm and 6.30pm in the South Street/Botchergate area of Carlisle.
It is believed that a number of men were involved in an altercation which resulted in a 29-year-old man suffering the injury to his side. It is not known what was used in the assault to cause the injury.
He attended hospital but has since been discharged.
Officers investigating the incident would like to hear from anyone who witnessed what took place or who has any information which may assist.
