Barrow man arrested after woman racially abused

[P]OLICE are appealing for witnesses after an incident in Barrow where a woman was racially abused by a man.

The incident took place at around 7.40pm last night (3 July) at The Lounge in Dalkeith Street in Barrow.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “A man in his 60s and from the Barrow area was arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated harassment. He has been released under investigation whilst officers continue with their enquiries.”

Anyone with information about this incident or who witnessed it is urged to contact police referencing incident 217 of 3 July, 2018.
