[T]ravelling theatre company Don’t Go Into The Cellar! make a welcome return to Florence Arts Centre in Egremont this summer with a show specially created for all the family.
The Canterville Ghost is a new adaptation of the classic Oscar Wilde ghost story, written by Jonathan Goodwin and performed by Phil Jennings. The tale has been told many times in films and television programmes but for this live stage show one actor will tell the story of the American family who get more than they bargained for when they move into Canterville Chase.
The show is imaginatively brought to life by Jennings and a choice selection of lighting and props, plus some lively audience participation… sure to raise more than just a ghost of a smile!
Suitable for aged 5+ this is guaranteed to be another memorable night at this exciting West Cumbrian venue. The theatre company have brought many of their acclaimed productions along in the past but this is their first written for all the family. They will return in October for a Halloween treat with macabre Victorian music hall cabaret, Whitechapel Freaks, and will bring Charles Dickens to life for Another Christmas Carol in December.
Tickets for all three shows are on sale now at the venue box office and online at www.florenceartscentre.com, with a reduced price for children and a special ‘family’ ticket offer. See the website or visit the arts centre for details.
