Talented musicians host summer concert

[A] summer concert featuring performances from local musicians will take place at Barrow Sixth Form College on Thursday 12th July.

The concert will include a variety of styles and composers – from classical pieces by Handel to more contemporary musical numbers – with vocal, piano and instrumental items.

Sheila Fawcett, who has organised the concert with Elizabeth Fawcett, said the concert is set to be an uplifting occasion.

She said: “Our annual summer concert is a fantastic opportunity for our musicians to showcase their talent and hard work.

“The show has something for everyone and gives our students a perfect platform to perform in front of an audience.”

Elizabeth added: “The concert is also a chance for us to raise money for local good causes.”

Admission to the summer concert is free and light refreshments will be provided.

The summer concert will take place at 6.45pm for 7pm at Furness College’s Barrow Sixth Form College campus on Rating Lane.
