Cleator Moor man charged with GBH after Whitehaven attack

POLICE have charged a man from Cleator Moor, for GBH Assault, following an incident on Saturday 7th July, at around 8pm, on Lowther Street, Whitehaven.

The victim, a 24-year-old local man remains in a serious but stable condition in Newcastle hospital.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “Kevin Christian, 25, of Jacktrees Road, Cleator Moor, has been charged with GBH Assault. He was remanded to appear in court today.”

Anyone with information regarding this incident, who has yet to speak to police, is asked to do so by calling 101, quoting log number 255 of the 7th  of July, or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
