Police appeal after theft of pigeons in Mirehouse

Police are investigating a burglary that occurred at some point between 4.30pm on 8th July and 10.30am on 9th July at the pigeon loft allotments behind St Benedict’s Church, Whinlatter Road, Mirehouse.

Unknown offenders have forced entry to the pigeon sheds causing damage to 5 padlocks. Four adult pigeons and two six-week old pigeons have then been removed from the sheds.

Anyone with any information is asked to email [email protected] or call 101 and ask to speak to PC 2503 Pickering-Smith, quoting incident number 106 of the 9th July. Alternatively you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
