[A] CARLISLE burglar has been told he faces a three-year prison term after he admitted repeat offending.
Kieron Michael Lowe, 38, pleaded guilty to one crime when he appeared at the city’s crown court earlier today (MON).
Lowe admitted the night-time burglary of an occupied home at Simmerson Drive, Carlisle, and theft of jackets and a mobile phone. His offence is said to have been committed on April 23.
The court heard it was the fourth time Lowe had committed such a burglary, triggering a minimum jail term of three years.
Recorder Mark Ainsworth adjourned the case to seek detailed background information, and give the victim a chance to give their views about the crime’s impact.
Lowe, of Hillary Grove, Carlisle, was told he is due to be sentenced on Friday this week, and will remain in custody until then.
