Firefighters called to Carlisle takeaway

[A]t 6:41am today, Monday 23 July firefighters were called to a report of a fire at Ali`s Takeaway at Linton House, Shaddongate, Carlisle.

On arrival crews discovered that the two-storey property was smoke lagged.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Firefighters used a thermal imaging camera to check for any signs of fire in the takeaway or the hair and beauty and sun salons downstairs.

“They could find no sign of fire.

“Firefighters were in attendance for around an hour.”
