Firefighters tackle Carlisle car fire

[A]t 12:08am today, Wednesday 1 August firefighters were called to a car fire in Randall Street in Carlisle.

On arrival the crew found the vehicle to be well alight.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “A firefighter wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

“The crew were in attendance for around 45 minutes.”
