Man and woman arrested after Barrow fight

[A] man and woman have been arrested on suspicion of assault.

The arrests are is in connection to an incident that occurred on Saturday 21st July, at 7:15pm, on Westmorland Street, Barrow-in-Furness.

A number of people were fighting on this street at this time.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “A local man and woman in their 30’s received minor injuries during the incident. A man in his 40’s received no injury.

“A 45-year-old female and 43-year-old man from Barrow-in-Furness, were arrested on suspicion of assault.

“They have both been released on bail.”
