[P]olice are investigating a serious assault that took place shortly before 8pm on Sunday 29th July 2018 in the area of Emlyn Street in Barrow town centre.
An 18-year-old man was assaulted and sustained severe facial injuries but was later released from hospital.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “A 19-year-old man from Barrow and a 20-year-old man from Millom were both arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm in relation to this incident and were later released on bail.
“Police believe this incident was linked to a disturbance on Sidney Street a short time earlier.”
