[A] woman was trapped in her Suzuki Swift car after it left the road and ended up in a hedge.
Emergency services were called to a single-vehicle road traffic collision on the B5295 Cleator Moor Road at 9:40am today.
A spokesman for Cumbria Police said: “The vehicle, a Suzuki Swift, was driven by a woman in her 40’s from Whitehaven, she was taken to hospital with minor injuries.”
A spokesman for Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters attended the scene and released one casualty who was trapped in a car.
“The team provided oxygen to the woman and she was then was passed to the care of North West Ambulance Service.
“Crews were detained at the scene for approximately 10 minutes.”
