Firefighters tackling Carlisle house fire

[A]t 3:26pm today, Monday 6 August firefighters were called to a fire at a house on Yewdale Road in Carlisle.

Crews from Carlisle West and Penrith are currently fighting the fire in the two-storey property.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Two firefighters are wearing breathing apparatus and a thermal imaging camera is also being used to check for hotspots.

“This incident will be updated as more information becomes available.”
