[R]eays Coaches has announced the extension of the 64a bus service through Carlisle to help local residents travel throughout the city centre.
As well as a new bus stop situated on Glaramara Drive in the newly developed Persimmon Homes Brackenleigh estate, Reays have also incorporated Morrisons into the popular 64a route, adding to the variety of supermarkets and shops it already serves, namely Houghton Hall Garden Centre, Asda and Kingstown Retail Park. This makes the route perfect for mandatory shopping trips, or some retail leisure throughout the day.
The new route with commence on Monday 10th September running six days per week, Monday to Saturday between 7.30am and 18.30pm, with both the local council and DVSA supporting the introduction of the revised service.
Kerrie Allison Head of Sales and Marketing at Reays said “We carried out research and found there were key areas of the city which had an identified gap in public transport provision so we are stepping in to provide services for these communities. The new service will be a big improvement.”
Copies of the revised timetables will be made widely available to passengers in the run up to the September changes or alternatively will be available on Reays website www.reays.co.uk.
